New Livestock and updates!

This past year many things have been changing here on the farm. We have added 2 Angus cross heifer calves. They started as bottle babies that we hope to breed this coming year. Both have totally different personalities! Elouise is the sweet loving type while Marth is definitely the firecracker of the two.

Also new to the us is 2 Kune pigs both male one year olds and boy let me tell you these boys are big but also big babies! They came to us from a friend, goodness I remember when they got them they were so little compared to now!

The goats have been doing great we have down sized the herd from 26 to 10. However more babies will be coming later this winter. Needless to say new fencing and good reinforcement will be happening in the goat field here soon! Plus the barn roof will be going up before the snow falls.

Twin boys this spring. The mama and them just went to their new home last weekend.
Here’s Martha out laying while Callie Tater’s new pup keeps watch.

The farm seems to grow a little more all the time. With the weather changing winter prep is in full swing. From stocking up on hay and firewood to the new barn roof. We’re getting there before we know it the snow will be falling. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for crockpot chili & soups with homemade bread on those cold nights! Recipes to come!
